Dad and Me, digital images on Rives BFK paper backed with felt, 31 x 26 inches, 2001

Dad is on the lower right and I am on the center bottom.  Many of the puzzle pictures behind us are of my childhood and the childhood of Vietnamese children during the American War in Vietnam. My father served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Bunker Hill aircraft carrier during WWII. He was severely injured  but survived his injuries suffered every day after he was injured.  I served in the U.S. Army in Pleiku, South Viet Nam in 1969-70.  During that year I was exposed to Agent Orange several times.  Forty-five years later I developed Parkinson’s Disease from that exposure. My health has been declining ever since.
