On March 22, 1970, I returned from the American War in Vietnam.

I spent the next five years making a series of paintings and prints based on that experience. Most of the images con-tained portraits of the Vietnamese children who used to surround my Jeep when I parked at our work sites. Most of these pieces were collected by the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA.  The American War ended in 1975 and I also ended this series and went on to the next one.
